Traveling by car or tour bus
From Munich or Ulm
Take the A96 from Munich or Ulm, then take the A14 to the Lochau exit onto the L1, and drive about 4 km toward Bregenz. The “Pfänderbahn” is signposted. This route is toll-free!
Alternative route: Take the Lindau exit from the highway onto the B12 or B190, then drive along the lake toward Bregenz. This route is toll-free!
From Friedrichshafen
Follow the B31 to Lindau, then take the A96 and A14 to the Lochau exit onto the L1, about 4 km toward Bregenz. The “Pfänderbahn” is signposted. This route is toll-free!
Alternative route: In Lindau, take the B12 or B190, then drive along the lake toward Bregenz. This route is toll-free!
From Switzerland
From the St. Margarethen or Lustenau border, take the B202 toward Bregenz. Follow the road along the lake to the roundabout; take the second exit. The parking garage is on your left after 50 meters; follow the signs to the parking lot.

Parking at the Pfänder Cable Car

Please note that parking fees can only be paid by card. Cash payments are not accepted! Card payments ONLY!
Pfänder Cable Car users can park for free for the first three hours at the designated parking lots (P15 and P6). Upon presenting your parking ticket at the ticket counter inside the building, you will receive a three-hour credit.
”Pfänderbahn” Parking Garage P15
With 136 parking spaces. For navigation devices, please enter the address Schillerstraße 3, 6900 Bregenz. The entrance is accessible to vehicles with a maximum height of 2 m.

Parking Spaces for People with Disabilities
A total of 5 spaces, 3 of which are suitable for minibuses. Right next to the valley station. For navigation devices, please enter the address Ebnergasse 5, 6900 Bregenz. No parking ticket is required; please place your disability permit in a clearly visible location inside the vehicle.
Long-term parking in the parking garage
Park your car in our parking garage from October 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. For this period, you’ll pay the fee for just two months (€792.00) and get six months of parking for the price of two!
Parking a Tour Bus
Bus Stop
The bus drop-off point is located at the lower end of Schillerstraße, at the roundabout. Access is via “Am Tannenbach – Belruptstraße – Schillerstraße.” It is a 5-minute walk to the Pfänder Cable Car valley station
Bus Parking Spaces
The bus parking lot is located on Reichsstraße across from the barracks, right on the lake; there are 11 parking spaces available. It is a 10-minute walk to the Pfänder Cable Car valley station.

Parking fees for buses
€5.00 per hour or part thereof from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (free from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). The machine accepts €5, €10, or €20 bills as well as coins. The machine does not give change.
Tip
Groups using the Pfänder Cable Car can receive a cash refund for up to 5 hours of parking fees at the Pfänder Cable Car ticket office inside the building upon presentation of the receipt from our bus parking lot.
