Getting here by car or coach
From Munich or Ulm
On the highway from the direction of Munich or Ulm A96 then A14 exit Lochau on L1. Approx. 4 km in the direction of Bregenz. The Pfänder cable car is signposted. (No vignette required!)
Or exit Lindau to the B12 / B190 and follow the road along the lake to Bregenz. (No vignette required!)
From Friedrichshafen
Take the B31 to Lindau, and continue onto the A96/A 14. Take the exit Lochau onto the L1. About 4 kilometers to Bregenz (No vignette required!).
Or take the B31 to Lindau and exit in Lindau to the B12/B190. Follow the road along the lake to Bregenz. (No vignette required!)
From Switzerland
From the border of Saint Margrethen or Lustenau, drive towards Bregenz on the B202. Go through Bregenz and along the ship harbor. Take the second exit at the roundabout to enter Schillerstrasse. The Pfaender parking garage is situated on the left after 50 metres. For using the parking area, follow the signposts.
Parking the car
Parkhaus Pfaenderbahn P15 (136 parking spaces), for navigation systems (GPS) please use the following address: Schillerstraße 3. The parking garage entrance has a maximum height of 2.00m.
Parkplatz Pfänderbahn P6 (60 parking spaces), for navigation systems (GPS), please use the following address: Steinbruchgasse 4.
Parking for the Disabled (5 parking spaces, 3 suitable for small buses) is available at the lower station. For navigation systems (GPS), please use the following address: Ebnergasse 5. Parking tickets are not required, please place the disabled placard in a visible area.
Please note: Pfaenderbahn passengers who use the aforementioned parking facilities, will receive the first three hours of parking free. Please present your parking ticket for validation at the ticket counter.
Parking the coach
The drop-off area (max. 15 minutes) is situated at the bottom of Schillerstraße, next to the roundabout. Please note the directions via "Am Tannenbach" - "Belruptstrasse" - "Schillerstrasse". 5-minute walk to lower terminal of the Pfaender cable car.
The coach park north (Busparkplatz Nord) is situated beside Reichstraße in Bregenz, opposite the military complex. 11 parking lots available. Approximately a 10-minute walk to lower terminal of the Pfaender cable car.
Parking fees: € 5, - per hour between 6:00 and 23:00 (no parking fees between 23:00 and 6:00). 5-/10-/20 Euro notes and coins are accepted. No change.
Tip: Coaches with groups using the Pfaender cable car can get a refund for up to 5h when parking on the coach park. Present the receipt at the Pfaender cable car ticket counter to receive a refund.
